About the Role

Meagan Bebenek Foundation a registered Canadian charity focused on creating a world where no children suffer from brain tumours. We are seeking a part time School Program Coordinator to work alongside our School Team Lead, Director of Operations and a vast volunteer team.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, creative thinker who works well in a collaborative team environment and is comfortable engaging with leaders in the education system. They will have experience navigating a school environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a retired educator looking to continue to engage with students on a part-time basis.

Requirements

Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Work in partnership with the School Team Lead to develop and execute strategies to increase school, student and teacher engagement


  • Identify, cultivate and strengthen relationships with schools and community groups with a goal of raising awareness about the Kids Helping Kids program


  • Develop communications to educate board and school administrators on the program goals and objectives


  • Represent MBF at various school presentations, workshops and events


  • Work in partnership with the Communications team to develop collateral and regular updates to keep schools and community groups up to date on the organization and impact of their support


Time Commitment:

  • Contract - 1 Year

  • 20 Hours per week


Compensation:

  • $ 19.25 / hour
