About the Role

Meagan Bebenek Foundation a registered Canadian charity focused on creating a world where no children suffer from brain tumours. We are seeking a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to work alongside our Director of Operations and Volunteer Team Lead to build and maintain a highly engaged volunteer team.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and results driven individual passionate about bringing people together to make a difference in the community. They will be a people-oriented and a strong communicator with experience in developing collateral for internal stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to support volunteer education and development.


Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Provide input in to the volunteer engagement plan

  • Help create and maintain a volunteer contact database and volunteer portal

  • Work closely with the Volunteer Team Leads and Director of Operations to ensure that all volunteers are provided with the support, orientation/training and communication needed

  • Participate in the creation of a regular volunteer newsletter keeping volunteers engaged and connected to the organization

  • Work in in partnership with the Communications Coordinator to develop social media content that shares volunteer stories and successes 

  • Support the scheduling of volunteers for events throughout the calendar year

Time Commitment:

  • 7 to 10 hours / month
