The molecular mechanisms behind group 4 Medulloblastoma
Identification of TBR1 protein interaction networks in Group 4 Medulloblastoma
Medulloblastoma is a childhood brain cancer that can be categorised into 4 subgroups, each with unique biological and clinical characteristics. Group 4 is the most common subgroup but is also the least well understood. Dr. McGlade’s team is taking a deep dive into a specific mutation that was first discovered in Group 4 Medulloblastoma over 10 years ago, but whose function remains unknown. They aim to figure out how this mutation’s function fits into the overall disease, and whether it could point to a vulnerability to target with precision therapies.
