About the Role
Meagan Bebenek Foundation is a registered Canadian charity focused on creating a world where no children suffer from brain tumours. We are seeking a HR Intake Coordinator in a volunteer capacity to work alongside our Director of Operations and Office Manager to recruit and onboard volunteers to the organization.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and results driven individual passionate about bringing people together to make a difference in the community. They will be familiar with interview practices and be comfortable working flexible hours.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to apply the concepts acquired in the classroom and gain invaluable working experience.
Requirements
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Work in partnership with the Director of Operations and Volunteer Team Leads to define hiring needs and lead recruitment efforts
Assist in the creation of job descriptions outlining key responsibilities and required skills for each role
Work closely with the Communications team to ensure all vacancies are identified on the website
Screen volunteer applicants confirming alignment with the role expectations and required skill sets
Oversee the orientation process equipping volunteers with the information and tools to be successful
Actively seek new avenues for expanding and retaining volunteer bases
Time Commitment:
7 to 10 hours / month
